Black leadership would only go after it if they could make some hay or gain something. Racial politics in this country has been pressed so hard for so long that squeezing anything more out of it has become very difficult, due to the heavy resistance from all quarters. People are just sick of it. And Kobe is only a big deal because he's Kobe; this kind of shit happens all the time but it's usually the third-string linebacker from South Carolina U who you never heard of and could care less about. It's just a media field day, starfvcker hype, etc. The days of Al Sharpton, et al, making a synergistic living off of incidents like this are largely over.
